Sometimes we just don't know how much we will miss something until we don't have it anymore.
I miss my kitchen and my cooking.....eating my cooking and the actual work of preparing it. After we get our new kitchen done, I think it will be a long time before I complain about anything connected with it again.
I have always enjoyed cooking but in these last years I find that I adore it. I am switching over to gas in the new kitchen and I am excited about that. I have never cooked a single thing on a gas stove but only will need a short learning curve. I am motivated!
Go into your kitchen and hug it for me! Send up a prayer of gratitude...it is such a blessing.
Sending you hugs. ♥

I so understand!
ReplyDeleteYes, a kitchen is a blessing. I just put a chicken in to roast and can't wait until that tantalizing scent fills the house.
ReplyDeleteI've never cooked on gas except in my daughter's kitchen but I loved that control of heat. You will have so much fun!
I will let you cook in my kitchen if you will let me sit on your dock:) Have a blessed week, can't wait to see the new kitchen! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteHmm. Makes me think that I need not complain and just get busy! It's so true how when things change we see things differently.
ReplyDeleteCooking with gas is so much better than w/electric. I do wish I could have a gas top and electric oven though - sometimes. Gas makes the oven/kitchen really warm - that's why I wish. Or, I could wish for a convection oven that would speed things up. Any much more and I'll be complaining ! ;)
Enjoyed your post - beautiful cupcakes by the way.

Gas for the stove top yes. But don't get a gas oven whatever you do! Stick with electric. So, how much longer before its all done Barb?

When I was growing up and lived at home all we ever had was gas to cook on. After getting married things changed..why? I have no clue but ever since I have had to cook on electric..I sure miss cooking and baking with gas..nothing like being in total control!
